    How to Change your Gatorlink password on myUFL
    After changing your password using this tutorial, make sure to follow the appropriate tutorial for updating your password on that operating system using the menu on the left.

    Step 1

    Navigate to my.ufl.edu

    Click on CHANGE PASSWORD.

    Read the Acceptable Use Policy and make sure you click on ACCEPT & CONTINUE at the bottom.

    You may now input your new password. Please follow the guidelines presented on the page to ensure your password is compatible.

    Click on NEXT to finish the process.

    Your password is now successfully changed!

    You have now successfully changed your GatorLink password. If you have problems at any time during this tutorial, visit the Beaty help desk, call (352) 392-2465 or submit an iServiceDesk Request.

    Update your password on iOS
    After changing your GatorLink password on myUFL, you will have to update it on all your devices before you can connect to the Internet.

    Please follow these instructions to update your GatorLink password on iOS.

    Step 1

    Tap on Settings.

    Tap on Wi-Fi.

    Step 5

    Step 3

    Tap on the blue information icon next to the uf network.
    Step 2

    Step 4

    Tap on Forget this Network.

    This will return you back to the Wi-Fi window. Tap on uf to configure the network.

    Type in your GatorLink username and password. Then, tap on Join.
    Step 4

    Your password is now successfully updated!

    Update your password on Android
    After changing your GatorLink password on myUFL, you will have to update it on all your devices before you can connect to the Internet.

    Please follow these instructions to update your GatorLink password on Android.

    Step 1

    Tap on Settings.

    Tap on Wi-Fi.

    Long press on uf to bring up advanced options. Then, tap on Modify network.

    Type in your new GatorLink password. You do not need to modify any of the other fields.

    Tap on SAVE.

    Change your password in Mac OSX
    You should go through this tutorial each and every time you need to change your GatorLink password either due to expiration or to a forgotten password.

    Step 1

    Close out of all windows so you are back at your desktop. At the top right, look for your network icon. Click on the item Turn Wi-Fi off. After turning off the Wi-Fi click on Open Network preferences.

    From the below Preferences window choose the Advanced option.

    In the Advanced option forget the right click on the uf-network located in the white box and choose forget. If the network is not present in the box just click OK.

    Step 4

    After exiting all the windows go back to your main desktop, click on the Wi-Fi icon and and choose Turn Wi-fI On.

    Step 5

    After turning the Wi-Fi on you will get the list of suggested Wi-Fi networks. Click on the uf-wifi and choose that option to Connect.

    Step 6

    You will get a prompt window that will ask for registration credentials. Type in your previously updated new GatorLink username and password, from My UFL in the boxes provided and click Join.

    Update your password in Windows
    You should go through this tutorial each and every time you need to change your GatorLink password either due to expiration or to a forgotten password.

    Step 1

    In the Networks pane, select the network you want removed and press Connect.

    Right click on the network and choose “Forget network”.

    Press on it and the network is removed. You can reconnect to the network as if it were a newly detected network.

    When reconnecting again type in your NEW GatorLink password with the username and press Connect.

    Update your password in Ubuntu
    You should go through this tutorial each and every time you need to change your GatorLink password either due to expiration or to a forgotten password.

    Step 1

    Right click on the Networking icon in the top right corner of the screen and select Edit Connections.

    Select the wired or wireless service you are trying to change the password to and select edit.

    Select the 802.1x Security tab and ensure the following options are selected. Under Password enter in your new password.
    Step 3

    Your password is now successfully changed and updated!
